Hi! I’m Greg. I’ve been self-employed my entire life. I started as a birthday party magician when I was in high school, transitioned to doing a comedy juggling act which took me around the world, then started writing, producing, and performing in touring shows with my partner Kristi Heath for science museums, schools, and children’s festivals. I’ve made countless props, costumes and touring sets over the years. Along the way I’ve also built some giant puppets and stilt characters. I love to make all sorts of things, and this website is a place to catalogue some of my projects.
I hope to eventually make this an instructional/tutorial/tips site, but it’s hard to go back and turn old projects into tutorials so for now it’ll just be a place to showcase some projects I’ve made in the past and I’ll be better about cataloging my building process as I go forward so I can make actual tutorial posts. Until then, perhaps this can serve as a sort of resume to showcase my various abilities in case I could be helpful to anyone. Like everyone else in the live entertainment industry in 2020, I’m exploring other opportunities to stay busy until my old industry returns. Prop department for film or TV production perhaps? That seems like fun…
