This is a prop that I made for a show which allows me to use a keyfob remote to turn on and off a lightbulb which is held by a volunteer. All of the electronics are inside a piece of abs pipe which also acts as a ‘handle’ to hold the light. There’s an 18650 LiPo rechargeable battery inside along with an arduino nano and an RF receiver. There’s a flexible cap which I 3d printed that covers the bottom of the handle so the vounteer doesn’t see the power switch or the charging port. I initially used a thick glass lightbulb that I found at Michael’s which I had to sand a lot to make it diffuse the light. After breaking one of those I made a 3d printed lightbulb which is stronger and which is already frosted so it saved me the sanding effort.
